Alejandro Cisneros

Alejandro Cisneros, P.Eng., MSc. / Sr. Design Engineer & Manager

Alejandro is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta in Canada, he also holds a MSc degree in Energy and Environment from the University of Calgary, where he currently resides. Alejandro has over 9 years of experience in the energy sector which includes 5 years in the Oil and Gas Industry as Field and Design Engineer plus 4 years in the solar PV Industry. During his tenure in the Oil and Gas Alejandro oversaw designing and manufacturing of training equipment for major oil companies and research institutions around the globe, after that he worked as a Field Engineer in the Canadian oil sands. Alejandro was able to pursue his passion in the renewable industry in the province of Manitoba where he was the lead engineer in charge of designing and installing major solar projects, during this time Alejandro helped shaping the solar industry in Manitoba and his designs were considered the industry standard. Later he brought the same high standards to the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The experience in those two opposite industries have taught Alejandro the importance of accepting and working with what is currently available, fossil fuels, while being part of the change promoting renewable energy from within. Alejandro also spends his time exploring ways to promote solar energy in Latin America together with likeminded individuals.

In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, swimming, home improvement or working on hobbies such as metal and/or woodwork. He mainly loves to spend time with his wife Gaby, daughter Amelia and 2 crazy wiener dogs whether is at a park or hiking/biking the beautiful Canadian Rockies.
